Could this be Anne of Green Gables?  Her smile and long red braids say maybe yes!

Here is a sweet little girl doll dresses for Christmas in red velvet and white satin dress, bonnet, and faux fur trimmed cape. She has a delightful smiling face, long red braids, white stockings and little red shoes with pearl buttons, all removeable. Lace trim on her bloomers and dress and hat, which sports a genuine white fluffy feather and red flower. Her head, arms, and lower legs are porcelain, while the rest of her body is cloth covered with metal armature inside. 

  She is 16" tall and comes with a stand.  

Some slight discoloration on some areas of the fur on the cape bottom. Maker unknown.
