Motorcraft Oil Filters are engineered to provide original equipment performance and reliability. Each design undergoes rigorous tests to ensure long life and optimum performance under harsh operating conditions.
Features & Benefits:
- Large filter media area provides optimum filtering efficiency throughout the oil change cycle
- Cellulose and polyester blend filter media is tested to achieve 80 percent efficiency on particles of 20 microns or larger
- The Polyester content enhances the strength of the media to withstand extended exposure to hot engine oil
- Silicon-based anti-drain back valves are tested to resist temperature extremes from -75 degrees F to 450 degrees F
- Robust steel center tube and lock seam design withstands pressure surges and helps prevent leakage
- Bonded end plates help keep consistent pleat spacing
- Steel case is painted for rust resistance
- End cap seam is crimped and rolled for a good seal
- Anti-drain back valves are included to help prevent dry starts
