This is an alternative vacuum tap for the models listed and includes the correct flat sided rubber sealing gasket.
The original Kawasaki part number was 51023-0726G and 51023-1130
Fits Kawasaki GTR 1000 CC from 1986 to 2006
This is a brand new alternative fuel tap for the Kawasaki models listed above. These taps have the primer setting so that you can prime the carbs without running the bike.
Note that our tap has the fuel outlet on the right as does the original and the vacuum pipe on the rear right as the original.
We do recommend that you change your pipes whilst you are going to all the trouble of fitting this though 😁
Don't mess about trying to reseal your 35 year old original fuel tap. We've tried all that and it just doesn't last. They generally leak through the front or stop flowing fuel or just flow continuously.
Also the Kawasaki seal kits are an expensive gamble too because the inside of the tap will require a day of ultrasonic cleaning to get the hardened gunge and crystals out before you can even think about fitting the new seals!
OK so this tap not original Kawasaki but it is a much cheaper alternative than trying to get an original one. Remember that new old stock could actually be 35 years old now!
Our taps are as good as you are going to buy, we've searched high and low for a long time for taps for these bikes that are just right and these are the best!
We check and fettle each tap before dispatch for any casting errors and tightness of the tap.
NOTE.... We also test our taps for leaks plus we test the vacuum system.
To date, we've have had no returns or issues with our supplier and manufacturer.
Fitting this will eradicate all the usual problems of the vacuum not working and fuel not flowing or leaking taps.
These taps also have a prime setting. This can be used to fill the carburettors if the bike has been laid up for a while. It allows fuel to flow continuously and should not be used instead of the vacuum function.
These taps are very well made with very good casting material and tolerances, they are not made from 'monkey metal' like lots of other cheap taps are. I've bought them!
This will be a direct fit on bikes with only one fuel outlet with connecting pipes between the carbs.
The vacuum pipe should be connected to your carburettor or inlet vacuum line
Hole diameter is 6.5mm for your 6mm bolts
Connection to fuel line: 8 mm internal diameter pipe
Vacuum connection: 5 mm internal diameter pipe.
We recommend that you renew your old pipes for newer E5 and E10 resistant pipe (which we sell seperately) and fit an inline filter too.
We also stock spare tank to tap rubber seals should you need to remove the tap for repainting or washing out your tank.
