Welcome to the Best of Fat Burn series. You will sweat and burn with these high intensity cardio sculpt routines. These total body workouts vary in duration and intensity, so you can mix and match them depending on your schedule and fitness level. They require minimal space and can easily be modified if you don’t have the equipment available.

 

 

THE SET INCLUDES:

 

Apartment Fever Cardio Sculpt 35 mins - you will start with a side lunge to plie combo to heat up the entire body. Then move to a side lunge series in releve with your hands on the ground. Next a dynamic plie to lunge knee pull to lift off combination. Then a low Asian squat to front leg kick side to side, some inner thigh pushes in releve. A hinged over heel lift series, into a bent over glute raise, front leg plie combination. Next a challenging up up down down kneeling to standing move, crouching knee in and outs. Next a plank knee pull to spider press pike push up combination. Then a reverse plank slide through with cross legged triceps extensions. Then seated straight leg circles, a knee hover segment with raises and twisting taps. Next an abs segment with bent leg and straight leg bicycles into side plank with one leg raised. Finally a back extension series with lower body and upper body variations. Finish with a lengthening stretch.

 

Double Burn Cardio Sculpt 39 mins - you will start with some side lunges and skaters as well as a plank variation to warm up the body. Then move to 2 lower body groupings - wide plie squats and a tough forward leaning lunge to glute raise combo. Then 2 upper body groupings, a row to shoulder press combo and some faster boxing style moves as well as a functional shoulder move that finishes with boxing style hooks. Then move to 2 core segments - a seated oblique twist and knee raise combo and a tough upper and lower crunch exercise.  Finish with a lengthening stretch.

 

Endurance 70 Cardio Box Sculpt 31 mins - you will move through a wide variety of punches, knee pulls and kicks. Some of the combinations will stay on one side for a couple of rounds then move to the other, and some combinations will utilise both sides at the same time. You won't get bored with this workout! There are lots of repetitions with light weights to burn out your shoulders and arms. A high cardio factor workout that will leave you puffing and sweaty with a stretch at the end.

 

Feel Good Cardio Sculpt 42 mins - is a low impact workout which incorporates long, fluid cardio moves with more targeted sculpting exercises. There is a great balance challenge element to this workout with some front and back leg raises and lots of lateral moves with swan arms. You will increase your heart rate and gently sculpt your muscles whilst dynamically stretching your entire body. You will finish with a deeper stretch to leave you invigorated and lengthened!

 

Fusion Flow Easy Cardio 24 mins - is a feel good cardio segment with lots of flowing, dance like moves that are gentle yet dynamic. You will get your heart rate up without any jumping, so it's joint friendly and low impact. The exercises are easy to follow, moving from one to another without any complicated routines, but still really effective for torching calories and fat.

 

Gentle Home Workout Cardio Sculpt 40 mins - you will start with large range of motion reaches and taps to heat up the entire body. Next you will move into some punches with light weights and lower body engagement to bring up the cardio factor. Then a curtsy lunge, squat and knee up combo, squats with one heel up, knee pulls and a curtsy to regular lunge combo. Repeat on the other side, then a few light cardio exercises before moving into a standing abs series. Here you will see barre squats with overhead oblique reaches, pulses, knee pulls and cross body crunches. Repeat on the other side, then move into an arms segment with light hand weights and lower body engagement. Next head to the mat for some leg raises and extensions and finish with a lengthening stretch.

 

Metabolic Training Cardio Sculpt 57 mins - you will start with a flowing aerobics style routine, move to swan arms with light weights and lower body engagement, then another fun cardio segment with a balance challenge element, next you use the chair and weights for a tough lower body segment, finally a mat series elevated on the chair and a tough chair abs series. You will finish with a lengthening stretch.

 

Shape Up Barre Box 47 mins - is a total body workout with cardio and ballet barre sculpting exercises. You will start with 5 slower paced boxing style exercises to warm up the body and familiarize you with the moves. You will then alternate between 5 lower body ball exercises, then the same 5 cardio exercises, 5 resistance loop lower body exercises, back to the cardio, 5 light weight arms exercises, back to the cardio, 5 resistance loop upper body exercises, back to the cardio, 5 pilates ball abs exercises, one last round of cardio and finally 5 resistance loop abs exercises. You will be rewarded with a long stretch to lengthen the muscles to finish.

 

Cardio Sculpt Sweat 27 mins - is a high energy cardio sculpting workout that will leave you puffing and your muscles burning. Using just some light hand weights you will work every part of your body in an efficient way. With intervals of pure cardio and then dynamic sculpting your heart rate will be high and you will burn heaps of calories. There are lots of combination moves to keep your mind engaged and your muscles guessing. If you are short on time then this is definitely a great total body workout for you!

 

Torch and Tone Cardio Sculpt 62 mins - you will start with energizing boxing and kicking combinations that are tough to do, but easy to follow, then sculpt your upper body with barre style, light weights exercises before moving to the mat for targeted outer thigh work using a weight and then a short but fierce abs segment. You will finish with a lengthening stretch.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Hi, my name is Linda and I have been a fitness enthusiast all my life! I have worked with nutrition and personal training for many years and I love helping people reach their exercise and weight loss goals! I have worked in the diet and fitness industry in one form or another for my entire career amongst which I owned a personal training business, which eventually turned into Workout DVD World! I instructed barre style workout classes twice a week in my home town of Perth, Western Australia, and then progressed to creating an ever-growing video library of my own fusion style workouts, under the banner of Barlates Body Blitz, which can be purchased through the Barlates Body Blitz of my Ebay store. 

I have tried gyms and outdoor Boot Camps, but I definitely prefer to exercise in the comfort of my own home. That way you can workout without having to worry about anyone watching you! It also means you have no excuse not to exercise, cause you don’t have to waste time driving anywhere! I have over 200 workout dvds in my collection and am constantly adding to them.

The great thing is that you never outgrow workout DVDs! As your fitness level increases you can either buy a more advanced DVD or simply add some dumbbells and/or ankle weights to your favorite cardio workouts to make them more intense! The fact is that the moves that really work rarely change! I even have some old Cindy Crawford videos from the 80s, which are just as effective as some of the latest DVDs on the market. 

I take my workout DVDs with me where ever I go. I went on holiday to Europe, and you guessed it, I had at least 10 workout DVDs packed in my bag! With most you need surprisingly little room so you can even do it in a small hotel room. If you have a laptop or portable DVD player you are set to workout anywhere!

It is my favourite hobby – and a pretty healthy one I think! I am sure once you buy your first workout DVD you will never look back and you will definitely want more and more! So if you are about to enter the wonderful world of working out at home then I will be all too happy to try and source whichever DVDs you want to add to your collection!
