Lot of 3 vintage Modern Library cloth hardcover books. The books each measure 7-1/4" ht x 5" wide x 1". The 3 books include: 


1) "The Best Stories of Guy de Maupassant", 19th century French author. Copyright date is 1945 by Random House, Inc. Book is in very good condition except for slight separation of the first page along the binding. Otherwise no marks or tears are noted except several very small tears at top and bottom of the end hardcover binding. There is slight yellowing of the pages due to age. The book has a blue cloth hardcover.


2) "Women in Love", a novel by author D.H. Lawrence. Last copyright 1950 by Frieda Lawrence. This book has a cloth burgundy color hardcover which is in very good condition except for 4 tape marks on front and back which may be able to be removed with the correct technique. Inside the front cover there is a marking in one corner and several tear spots, and the first title page is slightly separated from the binding. On the title page there is a stamped "C7" and "April 1, 1964".  The pages are slightly yellowed from age but otherwise no noted markings or tears. 


3) "New Voices in the American Theatre" which includes six notable American dramas that were produced in New York from 1947 to 1954.  Please see picture of Contents page for the names and authors of these plays. This book has a green cloth hardcover which is in very good condition for age. A previous owner's name is written in the corner of the title page. Copyright page has been removed. Otherwise there are no markings or tears noted, and the binding is in excellent condition.  There is slight yellowing of the pages from age. 


These books have been carefully stored in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
