This listing is for a truly exceptional pair of antique cast brass wall sconces. These date from the early 1900's and features medieval knights in armor. Perfect for your castle! These have been professionally restored. That includes new candle sockets, new candle socket insulation, new wiring, etc. These will arrive ready to install. They install directly to the wall rather than to an electrical box, so the installation will depend on the type of wall you have. You can tell me what material your wall is made of and I can make a recommendation, and supply the screws, and other hardware necessary, but part of it will still be dependent on your specific conditions. If you don't let me know, you or your electrician will have to supply the screws and hardware for installation. These fixtures are made of heavy cast brass. They are in overall excellent antique condition with some wear. The candle covers are original, and in excellent condition for their age with wear and cracking. Please see the up close pictures that show the wear. I can't picture all the little imperfections, but overall they are in good condition. When I say excellent condition for their age, I'm not saying they're in excellent condition, but rather compared to most antique candle covers. The covers rarely stand the test of time, and I almost always have to replace them, so it's nice to have originals that still display well. Behind the brass knights are two metal plates that were refinished in an off white tone that matches the original finish, so the colors are historically correct. One of the panels has some denting, as shown in the pictures, but I couldn't notice it from the outside. Originally these had pull chain switches. I replaced them because one of them wasn't working well, and with switches that old, they're not going to last much longer, and I don't want you to have to have them replaced in the future. So I replaced them with new standard size candle sockets. The fixtures measure around 14 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and they project around 4.5 inches out from the wall. The bulbs used are for display purposes, and are not included. They are period correct antique Mazda flame bulbs. Contact me if you want to purchase them to go with these.
