You are viewing a listing for my Chinese/Japanese carved statue of a Warrior with a long beard, preparing to swing his sword at a small dragon climbing up his leg.  It is a highly detailed work that I have treasured for a long time.  I bought this statue in Chicago in 1970 while I was on my High School Senior Trip and do not know anything about it except that I liked it.  It has been in a display cabinet in my house for almost 52 years.  I  BELIEVE  THIS  STATUE  IS  MADE  FROM  RESIN.  This item has a marking on the back side of the man towards the bottom of his drape.  To preserve any possible patina I have not attempted to clean this in any way.  I will leave that to the preference of the new owner.  This item weighs a little over 1.5 pounds and measures 15 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide by 2" deep.  The black base measures 4" across and 3" deep.  There are no breaks or repairs.  It is just time for me to start selling off my extensive collections so my son won't have to deal with them.
