Wave discs ... are a radically new design with many features that set them apart from standard washers. First of all, the wave-shaped outer edge improves the self-cleaning of the pad and disc. The disc reduces braking. The waveform of the outer diameter and the inner edge of the disc allow the brake disc to expand without deforming. In principle, the pane always stays flat. Our know-how of the materials and the applied processing phases enable us to obtain perfect brake discs in every respect. The long tests, first in the laboratory, then in practice, showed us the way to a number of future projects based on Wave technology that will soon lead to new products. Advantages of the wave brake disc Strong initial braking effect with good modularity. The surfaces of the brake pads are rubbed off more evenly. The upper edge of the pane can dissipate more heat. The parts of the brake disc can expand around the middle circumference without the disc deforming conically. The weight is lower than that of a classic brake disc. The continuous change in the contact area between the pads and the disc prevents the pads from seizing. Improved braking action and less brake squeal.
