This wonderful wooden  chessmen are made

 from the best pieces of 

hornbeam  wood  and are perfectly finished by hand.  

 

 The chessmen are made from hornbeam  wood,

 which is carved and finished by hand.

 

 The dark playing pieces are stained 

and lacquered in a

way that allows the natural wood grain

 to show through,

 the lighter pieces are natural wood 

similar in colour to

the lighter squares on the 

board and lacquered. 


The pieces are weighted.

This is a set of 32 chessmen pieces  in a plastic  bag.

 

         Kings stand:  100 mm/3.94inch.

    Queen: 85 mm/3.35inch.

    Bishop:68 mm/2.68inch.

    Knight:65 mm/2.56inch.

 Pawn:45 mm/1.77inch.
