Hettier & Vincent

A wonderful pair of 1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated bronze and clear frosted molded-pressed glass.  This model is signed Hettier &Vincent France near the hole on top. Often parts of signature got grinded off when they flattened the top in the factory. These shades were exclusively produced for Hettier & Vincent by verreries des Hanots. The sconce is represented in the old Hettier et Vincent catalog. H&V made numerous versions of sconces with this same wall plate and arm. They were sold both with and without shades. Customers could also opt for whatever Hettier et Vincent model shade they preferred. The catalog is no part of this sale.

The sconces are 19,2 cm (7,56 inches) high and project some 21,5 cm (8,46") from the wall. The shades have a diameter of 11,5 cm. The pair is in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the bronze fixtures. The lamps are rewired with American candelabra base sockets. For European countries I will place E14 ones.
