This half facepiece reusable respirator offers reliable and convenient respiratory protection and is suitable for many situations, helping provide protection against particulates and a wide variety of gases and vapors according to NIOSH approvals.

The 3M™ Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Series helps provide protection against particulates and a wide variety of gases and vapors when used with approved cartridges and filters. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M™ cartridges and filters, this respirator helps provide protection at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). The swept back design of the cartridges helps improve balance and visibility. Remarkably comfortable, soft, lightweight facepiece has easy-to-adjust head straps allow for a customized fit to the user. Replaceable cartridges help reduce waste and costs over time.

NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 6000 Series Half Facepiece with 3M cartridges, filters or supplied air systems. The 6000 Series is NIOSH approved for negative-pressure air purifying and positive-pressure dual airline applications. This half facepiece respirator may be used with 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series; 3M™ Filters 2000, 2200, 7000 or 5000 Series; or 3M™ Dual Airline Systems against a variety of gases, vapors, and particulate hazards according to NIOSH approvals.

When used with 3M™ respirator filters and cartridges, this respirator may help provide respiratory protection at concentrations up to ten times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). 

This half face respirator is also compatible with the 3M™ TR-600 and TR-800 powered air purifying (PAPR) systems and Dual Airline supplied air systems.

Use with 3M™ Respirators 5000 Series or 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series with 3M™ Adapter 502, or 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF 400 Series with bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications such as grinding, sanding and welding for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).

The 3M™ Particulate Filters 2000 Series are made with electrostatic media to enhance the capture of airborne particles and reduce breathing resistance. These particulate filters are flame resistant and easy to install. Plus, 3M™ Particulate Filters 2000 Series are compatible with 3M™ 6000 Series Half Facepieces, 6500/6500QL Series, 7500 Series, 6000 Series Full Facepieces, FF-400 Series, 7800 Series and 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal Facepieces with AV-632 Bayonet Adapter, thus helping to reduce inventory needs.

These filters help provide respiratory protection from particulate contaminant concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces and 50 times the OSHA PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. Some models include nuisance level organic vapor and/or acid gas relief. Not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or contain hazardous levels of organic vapors and/or acid gases (except hydrogen flouride on certain models).
