Beautiful Morris Moskowitz navy straw bag, with amber Lucite handles.
Navy fabric lining, with built in "kiss clasp" change purse, one zippered pocket, and one open pocket.
The Amber Lucite handles are hinged, and will stay open when the bag is seated.
The hinge is not as tight as it most likely was originally, so there is a bit of a gap when the bag is sitting on its own. (See photo # 6)
Bag is appx. 12 1/2" in length at the bottom.
Height is 11" including the handles.
A lovely bag in great vintage condition.
**All vintage and antique items are sold "AS IS". Any flaws or imperfections, are from age or use, and are noted.
Please feel free to ask any questions BEFORE you buy.
From The Bag Lady U:
In 1948, Morris organized Morris Moskowitz Corp. and thus began the saga of "MM." From an errand boy to President of his own company is a giant step that took courage, faith and conviction. Adherence to the finest principles of doing business is as much a trademark of the firm as is the "MM." In this age of specialists, Morris has concentrated on fabric handbags of every kind and nature. He seeks out the unusual. He marches from one end of Italy's warps to the other end of France's woofs looking for the rare and uncommon. He is always ready to try the unfamiliar and the unconventional. He feels that the fabric commands the shape of the handbag, a novel approach that leads to a constant stream of new styles with "MM" labels.
