About the Slimline Metal Overbox


This slimline metal overbox has been developed to fit over an existing damaged electric meter box where the original box is built into or inset into the wall.


An overbox is an ideal repair solution when your meter box is badly damaged, as replacing an inset/recessed meter box can be very difficult and costly.


This slimline design is particularly useful where space is limited.


PLEASE CHECK THE SIZE OF YOUR EXISTING METER BOX BEFORE PURCHASING TO ENSURE THIS OVERBOX WILL FIT OVER IT.

Installation

Easy and quick to fit over the existing meter box.

  • Position the overbox so that it covers the existing meter box.
  • Mark the four fixing holes onto the brickwork or plaster.
  • Drill the brickwork or plaster using suitable equipment.
  • Fit appropriate wall plugs/raw plugs.
  • Secure the overbox to the wall using the supplied screws.
  • If necessary, apply suitable sealant around the edge of the frame.
