Diorama of the battleship Bismarck in 1/350 scale. Made to order only. Estimated construction time: 2 months. This diorama consists of two parts within a methacrylate case in which the two scenes are mounted. The upper part of the waterline scene shows the battleship Bismarck sailing before engaging in combat against the English fleet, and two artillery impacts from the English ships at sea appear. Also visible is the image of a torpedo heading for the stern of the battleship Bismarck, which could be the impact of a torpedo launched by one of the English "Swordfish" aircraft, which hit the large battleship's steering rudders. After the impact, they were rendered inoperable, preventing the battleship from navigating. The lower part of the diorama shows the battleship Bismarck as it would currently appear, sunk at a depth of 4,791 meters in the North Atlantic. Also featured in this part of the scene is a bathyscaphe or submarine from the dives carried out during the discovery of this wreck by Robert Ballard in 1989. It features LED lighting, as can be seen in the photographs, allowing you to view the darkened wreck scene as if it were being seen from the same mini submarine that visits the ship in the depths of the sea. The mini submarine also features LED lighting. It is shipped perfectly protected in a wooden box.
