Yellow Sweet Spanish Onions are one of the most popular onions prized for the extra jumbo globe shaped

bulbs with a very mild sweet flavour and golden brown skin. 

These golden onions produce fruit up to a pound each and their flavour lasts longer than most other varieties. 

Onions grow best in full sun

Indoor sowing, 6 to 10 weeks before last frost

Spring Planting

Sow thinly and cover with 1/4 inch compost. 

Keep moist, seedlings emerge in 7 to 14 days

Plant 1 inch deep and 4 inches apart, rows 12 to 15 inches apart

Transplant outdoors after frost has passed

Can be sown directly after frost has passed

Maturity in 4 to 5 months

Height 10 to 12 inches

Keep soil moist until seedlings come up in well drained soil. 

Onions need a thorough soaking of one inch of water per week to grow best
