Original Notre Dame player stadium blanket.  This blanket is from 1944 and belonged to quarterback Roger Cadieux.  Cadieux played for the Irish in 1944 and 1945 and was a backup quarterback to Johnny Lujack.

This is a very rare blanket.  There are no other blankets like this on ebay.  A google search showed just one other blanket like this that sold through Heritage and belonged to Hank Stram - a coach for the Irish.  I have not seen any other player blankets.

This blanket is in very nice condition.  There are no moth holes or tears, rips, or burns in it - which is truly unbelieveable.  Normally any blanket this old is all chewed up with holes, rips, and fading.   The logo is nice, as is Cadieux’s embroidered name.  The blanket has the gold edging trim sewn around the outside.  It is tight and not missing any stitching.  The blanket is a larger size, measuring a full 60x78 inches.  The blanket could use a dry cleaning.  Although in virtually perfect condition, I have not had it cleaned and it does have some spots.  A very beautiful blanket, in almost mint condition, and 76 years old.  Try and find one.
