SABINO

An exceptional French 1925-1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding a bowl and 4 cups in molded-pressed glass by Marius Sabino. The bowl is 23 cm wide and is signed to the rim Sabino Paris 4767. Here below a picture of an old Sabino catalogue with the larger version of this model #4763. The matching cups are all signed on the inside near the hole for the socket Sabino Paris 4765.  As my catalog shows this model exists in 3 sizes. The ones on this chandelier are the medium sized ones with a diameter of 13 cm.

The chandelier has a height of 78 cm (30-11/16") and is 57 cm wide (22-1/2"). It's in very good condition. I have replated the mounting and it comes newly wired. One cup has a small chip. A second cup has some small damages too. Not really chips, all glass is present. See last 3 pictures. None of these damages are disturbing or very noticeable with the chandelier in place.  It holds five US candelabra base sockets. I can replace them for European E14 ones or B22 bayonet cap sockets.
