This is an 1898 printing of a Martin Luther translation from the 1500s of the Holy Bible into the German language. It comes housed in a great looking metal tin which is clearly not from the era of the Bible, which is evidenced by the cookie tin sticker from Decatur, Indiana which was at one point affixed to the bottom, but it is also neat nonetheless.

CONDITION: Sold AS IS. Has a mild to moderate perfumy smell. Cover and spine are well worn, but still attached to binding. Binding in general is intact but not in good condition. One small section of about 20 pages of Genesis are unattached to the binding. All pages appear to be present and readable with a minor amount of dog ears, minute edge tears and spots. No illustrations. The records pages have one name taped to the first page, but the others are not written on.

We are listing several antique and vintage Bibles from an estate. All are sold AS IS. Effort has been made to describe each carefully and thoroughly, but please note there are sometimes generalizations (i.e. some dog-eared pages) that are just that—generalizations--each page is not identified. Each of these Bibles are fantastic of their own merit. If you are interested in more than one or you would like additional photos, please contact us.
