THIS 1:6 SCALE TRI-MOTOR PEDAL AEROPLANE IS A GENDRON DIE CAST  MODEL BASED ON THE ORIGINAL "CURTISS HAWK" PEDAL CAR AEROPLANE THAT WAS MANUFACTURED BY THE GENDRON WHEEL COMPANY IN THE LATE 1920'S AND 1930'S. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.

THERE WAS NO MORE THAN 750 SEQUENTIALLY NUMBERED MODELS EVER MANUFACTURED.
THE ONE BEING OFFERED IS NUMBER 252 OF 750.
IT DOUBLES AS A BANK. SEE PICTURE OF THE BOTTOM, IT SHOWS THE KEY AND DOOR.
THE PICTURE SHOWING THE SEAT UP AND THE NUMBER OF THE MODEL IS ALSO WHERE THE COIN SLOT IS.
THE  STEERING WHEEL TURNS THE RUDDER SIDE TO SIDE.
THE PROPELLER TURNS/ROTATES WHEN THE PLANE IS PUSHED VIA A RUBBER BAND BELT LINK TO A GEAR RACK.


THIS IS BRAND NEW OLD STOCK THAT WAS RECOVERED FROM A WAREHOUSE IN INDIANA BY THE AUBURN CORD DUESENBERG MUSEUM, AUBURN, IN.

THE STOCK WAS ORDERED BY THE HALLMARK COMPANY 19 YEARS AGO AND WAS NEVER DELIVERED.
