Based on our Burmarsh and Peasemarsh designs the New Bay Open Canoe has been interesting to design and a joy to test.
It will be available as a single plans package that will detail how to build it as a paddling canoe and adding the sail rig. Plus, details for building it in two halves to allow it to be built in smaller workshops and for easier transportation.
As much at home being paddled as sailing we have found this to be a fun, capable canoe for one or two people to enjoy.
It can be built to paddle first and the rig added later or can be built as the full sailing canoe and, as the rig is de-mountable, you can use it as the mood takes you on the day.
The plans include both the paddling and basic sailing versions.
The plans contain Full Size patterns for hull sections, A3 sheets with drawings and dimensions where applicable, plans manual with materilas list and step by step instructions plus paddle plans and seat fitting details.

We are a business seller. We have been designing, building and repairing small boats for over 30 years and have been building our own, original designs for 20 years. Since 2004, we have been selling some of the more popular designs as DIY plans on ebay, all over the world.
We have built each design ourselves, several times - some a great many times - using ordinary DIY tools so we can get a better idea of the problems our builders may come across. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade and improve the plans to make it as easy as we can for you to build from them.
