8th WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE 1955 - POLISH CONTINGENT PATCH - EXCELLENT CONDITION

This is truly a historical patch. At the end on WWII, USSR occupied Poland and turned it into a puppet state. In all the occupied states, they simply shot all Boy Scouts.  The Scouting movement was very strong in Poland before the war and went into hiding during the Nazi reign but went into exile when the Russians moved in. In 1955, the cold war was heating up so this patch came from the "Free Polish Scouts", in spite of their USSR oppressors.  This use of the word "Free" means they were not under Soviet control.  There could not be but a hand full of Scouts attending the 1955 World Scout Jamboree, so there must be a very, very few of this patch still around. An extremely rare patch, indeed.  It is going to look very good in your collection.
