A SUPERB MUSEUM QUALITY AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A DACHSHUND DOG! DATING TO C 1870-1910.  PART OF A WONDERFUL COLLECTION!

This is a superb museum quality Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze)  It dates to c1900.   It clearly is of the highest quality of Vienna Bronzes.

It features the most wonderful dachshund dog - it is just adorable.  The expression on the face is fantastic.   The details are superb.

The paint is in fine period condition with paint loss commensurate with its age.  This is an antique vienna bronze, not a new reproduction!  It is unsigned.  Please see our other auctions for more early Vienna Bronzes from this collection.

The bronze is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) long, and the dog is 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) tall. There is no damage to the bronze.  The bronze is solid.
