Antique O'Hara Dial Co. Beer Stein (Monk/Friar Holding Pig)

Created early 1900's

Hard to Find

Hand Painted (Brown / Sepia Monchrome) image of a Monk / Friar holding a Pig.

Made by CERAMIC ART CO. (Lennox) for the O'Hara Dial Co.

Measures : (4 1/4" Tall x 4" Wide at Base x 3 1/8" Wide at Top)

Marking (on bottom of stein) See Photos, is a Fluer-de-lys inspired mark.  It reads Paris, France, O'Hara Dial Co. And then Wartham, Mass.  Paris, France refers to the location the steins were distributed from to Europe and Japan.

***Research shows that this stein originally came with a pewter lid & possibly an inlaid piece of porcelain on top.  You can see a recessed area on top of the handle where it was probably connected (See Photos)

It is quite beautiful and very unique.
