The DalRC XR220 is a really good FPV racer. It's light, strong, well designed and comes with an integrated PDB and LED board to complete the package.
The XR220 is designed as a true X-frame. While there are lots of frame configurations on the market to choose from, X-frames are arguably the best format for performance racing drones. It means the quad can be perfectly balanced for better flight characteristics; and stay very compact which keeps the weight to a minimum.
The XR220 frame is designed around a one-piece base plate. This gives it greater strength than equivalent frames that use individual arms. For even greater rigidity, the supplied carbon fibre braces can be installed between the arms. These parts also act as crash rings, so well worth attaching for those learning to fly.
As mentioned, the XR220 is designed as a FPV racer, so at the heart of its design is space for a FPV camera with a tilt adjustable mount. The mount is compatible with RunCam Swift type cameras and adjusts from 10-45° degrees. The FPV camera housing not only protects your FPV cam, it also doubles up as a mount for a recording camera. Ontop of it you can sit an action camera such as a RunCam 2.
Below the camera mounts is space for you flight controller and other electronics. The frame itself includes a PDB to satisfy your power requirements. It has 12 volt and 5 volt BEC outputs ready to power your FC and FPV gear. There are also auxiliary output connections should you need to power anything else from these regulated power supplies. Finally, the frame features a very neat LED board. This can be set to display different flashing patterns, colours and a low voltage alert via a simple push button.
