This is a signed letter from Sir Robert Sidney Foster.

 

Robert Sidney Foster (1913-2005) was a British diplomat 

who served as the 4th Governor of the Solomon Islands,

the 20th High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, the

22nd Governor of Fiji, and the 1st Governor-General of Fiji.

Earlier in his career, Foster had held several diplomatic

posts in Africa, including Deputy Governor of Nyasaland.

The letter is dated March 21, 1967.

It is typed on an 8" by 6" sheet of stationery of the
Government House of the British Solomon Islands.


The letter has a hole small near the top left corner. Otherwise, it is
in good condition, with creases where it has been folded.

It is enclosed in a clear plastic sleeve, for protection.
