This is an envelope signed by Warren L. Cook, a notable
American historian, and the author of FLOOD TIDE OF
EMPIRE: Spain and the Pacific Northwest 1543-1819.
Cook was a professor of history and anthropology at
Castleton State College, located in Vermont.


This is a First Day of Issue envelope, honoring the famous
historian Francis Parkman. Professor Cook signed the
envelope, and also wrote some other information; see scan.

This envelope, postmarked 1967, came from the collection of
the late Roger Harris, a well-known collector of autographs.
