The conductive gel is ideal for use during ultrasound therapy but can also be used with other electrotherapies such as; TENS, ECG, EMG, EEG, ESU, massager and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). When used, it acts as a medium for the sound-waves/current to travel through to the skin. Ultrasound therapy in particular, without any coupling medium is very inefficient, as most of the waves are lost in the air before they can enter the tissue.
