MEMORIES OF THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD - VOLUME I opens with steam action on the Long Island Railroad as 4-6-0 50 pulls an excursion train to such locations as Sunnyside Yard, Bay Ridge Terminal, and Oyster Bay. You’ll also view other LIRR power, including 2-8-0 107 and Fairbanks-Morse C-Liner diesel units.

Next, it's off to South Amboy, NJ, to watch the famous Class K4s 4-6-2 Pacifics in action. Tour the engine terminal and see single- and double-headed trains on the line to Bay Head. The program closes with a tour of the Philadelphia Hi-Line in 1937 and coverage of an Army-Navy football game in Philadelphia. You'll see hordes of GG1s pulling charter trains of Army Cadets and Navy Midshipmen to the game.

VOLUME II relives the glory of the Pennsylvania Railroad as powerful steam and diesel locomotives blast across your screen!

Beginning with a brief visit to the busy Altoona yards, you'll see a fantastic sequence filmed at famed Horseshoe Curve featuring a thrilling parade of steam power. Thrill to the sights and sounds of Pacifics, Mountains, Decapods, Consolidations, Texas-types, and even the legendary T1-Class 4-4-4-4s and powerful Q2-Class 4-4-6-4 duplex locomotives pulling heavy freight and passenger trains up the steep grade!

There's also exciting action on the Middle Division, where, in addition to many of the steam types listed above, you'll see Baldwin Sharknose and Centipede diesel units; F-M C-Liners; EMD E, F, and GP units, Alco FAs and switchers, and even the unique EMD Aerotrain!
