Paula Vaughan’s Third Annual Christmas Print portrays little girls getting ready to dance their Christmas recital. While waiting behind the big curtain, the little ballerinas remember how hard they practiced their dance from the Nutcracker Suite Ballet, how familiar the posters of the other ballets became while they perfected their steps just so they could perform for their families and friends sitting in the audience. In the mirror appears the vision of the Sugar Plum Fairy herself wot encourage the little dancers to do their best and to remind them that their special costumes are just like hers. No other artist captures the dreams of the little girls better than Paula Vaughan with her rendition of the “Nutcracker Suite”.
