The PiezoBarrel 'Wood' is a professional woodwind pickup designed for clarinet that can be used with a variety of wind instruments to provide recording studio quality sound for recording or live performance.  PiezoBarrel Pickups are designed and made in Brisbane, Australia.

  • 65mm Plastic clarinet barrel with built in brass thread for pickup - no installation required
  • 3.5mm to 6.3mm shielded cable to plug in to standard 6.3mm (1/4 inch) line or instrument socket.
    • Note, cable supplied now features a 90 degree 3.5mm plug at the pickup end for convenience.
  • Small Philips screwdriver to adjust output level.
  • Blocking screw with O ring (so the barrel can be used without the pickup)
  • Spare brass fittings (2) with blocking screws and O rings
  • Installation Manual (supplied by email in PDF format).

  • Supplied with a 65 mm standard Buffet compatible plastic barrel that has been fitted with a brass thread and cable.
  • Pickup screws in to the instrument with a M6 x 1.0 standard metric thread.
  • Pickup connection is a standard 3.5mm (1/8th") mono jack/socket that can be plugged into guitar effect pedals, mixer, DI or any 6.3mm (1/4") socket using the supplied cable.
  • Compatible with a variety of wind instruments including

NOTE: Some countries (including the US, UK, and countries in the EU) charge import duty and/or other taxes on imports, paying these costs is the responsibility of the buyer.   As of August 29, 2025, duties and taxes will be collected by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) before goods enter the country.  Currently PiezoBarrel has enabled a shipping option for US customers  using using Interparcel/UPS as Australia Post has currently suspended parcel deliveries to the US.  UPS will collect the US Tariffs and any other related charges from the recipient.  If tariffs are not paid, parcels will be returned to the sender at an additional cost to the sender resulting in an order refund minus shipping costs.
