This integrated system is designed exclusively

for Ovation Celebrity & Applause instruments and is

impedance and output matched to the Ovation Preamp

for maximum tonality and volume without feedback.

How to tell if your guitar can use this pickup:

Verify that the guitar's preamp accepts a 2.5mm male plug in the INPUT jack.

Verify the length of your guitars saddle slot.

The Ovation Thin Line Pickup is 3” in length 

(A folded dollar bill is about 3” in length)

Verify the width of your guitars saddle slot. 

The Ovation Thin Line Pickup is 3mm wide 

(a new American Quarter and Dime coin measure about 3mm when stacked 

one on top of the other – Can these two stacked coins slide into and 

fit snugly inside the saddle slot? DO NOT Force!

SIDE NOTE: If you have a guitar with an Original Floyd Rose 

Locking Vibrato system you can use the 3mm Allen Wrench 

you use to tighten the locking nut with to check the saddle slot width..

length and 3/8" (9.80mm) wide, these pickups are larger than the Thinline Pickup offered for sale in this ad.

Please take a moment to verify which Integrated Saddle Pickup is installed in your guitar; if you are still not sure,

The innovative Ovation Thin Line Pickup arrangement utilizes a

U-shaped aluminum rail securing the pickup and saddle

securely together for a snug fit inside the instruments saddle slot. 

This configuration produces an articulate, 

well balanced string response when using a plectrum or playing finger style.

The pickup arrangement captures vibration not only from the string pressure 

but the energy produced from the soundboard resonance as well!

The Ovation Thin Line Pickup is NOT a conventional under the saddle piezo pickup!

The Ovation Thin Line Pickup will work with Nylon, Bronze and Nickel strings.

The integrated saddle is compensated so intonation is 

maintained up and down the fretboard. 

IMPORTANT:

If you desire to lower your string action by adjusting the height of the 

saddle remove material from the TOP of the saddle not the BOTTOM. 

If you modify the BOTTOM as you would a conventional saddle

it will destroy the seating integration of the saddle and its interaction 

with the pickup element rendering it useless electronically.

If you have ruined your pickup in this manner please contact me before 

you purchase this pickup, I may have a more economical solution for you!

The saddle material used for the Ovation Thin Line Pickup pickup is

ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) Plastic.

The colour of the raw material used to make ABS is translucent ivory to white.

The most important mechanical properties of ABS are impact resistance and toughness.

Stability under load is excellent with limited loads. A set of Bronze wound acoustic

guitar strings can vary between 130 – 215 lbs of tension depending on the gauge

and other factors of the string so ABS is a good choice of material

for the moderately priced Ovation / Celebrity / Applause Series instrument.

Even though ABS plastics are used largely for mechanical purposes they also have

electrical properties that are fairly constant over a wide range of frequencies,

again making it a good choice for a cost effective acoustic guitar saddle.

Celebrity or Applause guitar or for replacing a defective component.

I can help you diagnose the problem with your Ovation system.

Please contact me before you order an item you do not actually need.

AddictedToToneInc does not accept returns because of a third parties ineptitude,

specifically “repair technicians” that do not know how to properly diagnose

possible defects of the individual components used in the Ovation electronic system.

AddictedToToneInc checks each component for possible electronic defect

when the new product is received from Ovation and

verifies its working condition once again before it is shipped.

Addresses outside the United States will be responsible for shipping fees

to be calculated specifically for individuals delivery address.

  The shipping fee does not include any tariff, import duty,

value added tax or other fee charged to an imported good by a sovereign entity.

If you are having your item delivered to a temporary living

address: Hotel, Motel, Day Suite etc. remember to notify

the front desk receiving personnel of the expected delivery.

Make sure the name listed on the package is also attached to

the establishments guest registry. If the recipients name on the

package does not match a name in the guest registry there is no

way for the establishment to know who the delivery is meant for.
