This is an incredible species from Mexico and central America.  It is slightly stoloniferous like T. tricolor, and like cyanea it is a more mesic/wet growing species making it ideal for lower light conditions or terrarium's.  It is a very large growing plant with a lovely shape and nice dark green leaves with really dark bases. The flower spike is equally impressive with fiery red stem and bracts which produce purple and white flowers over a very long period.  It pups really well and is very easy to grow. A superb plant.
