Canton Porcelain Covered Tureen, China, late 19th century, chamfered rectangular dish on raised foot with boar's head handles, the cover with stem-form knob. Nicely potted grey-blue body, with painted scenes and borders.
Measures 12" from handle to handle, and is appx. 9.5" deep. Appx. 7" tall to the top of the finial.
In exceptional condition; no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs. Clean unglazed rim and base. The only issue is that there are some rough spots on the boar's heads at the ears, but these are manufacturing issues as they are glazed over. Some minor rough spots to one of the boar's snouts, very minor and the manufacturing process as well. Unused piece, no utensil marks.
