Beautifully designed and crafted mahogany drop leaf end/lamp table by Baker Furniture. Part of their Historic Charleston Collection. Serpentine-edge top and sides, with elaborately pierced skirt. X-form stretchers join the four legs. Great size, and this piece packs a lot of design impact in a relatively small piece of furniture. Maker's label and the collection medallion are both on the underside.
From the photos you can see that the table is VERY faded. This is intentional as it is a color that was very popular in the mid-20th century: "Faded Mahogany". It would look intentional but for the area of un-faded wood in the center of the top where a lamp once stood - this is a more traditional mahogany color. The piece is very solid, and the finish smooth and the joints all tight. No damage or repair, other than the color. Very much worth refinishing if desired!
