The stinging nettle gets its name from the stinging, burning sensation it gives when the hairs on its leaves and stems are touched. Often considered a nuisance among plants, the stinging nettle has a long history of use by humans which likely began back in the Bronze Age, when Europeans and Native Americans use the plant's fibers to produce rope, nets, and various types of cloth. Its most useful properties however come from the consumption of the plant. Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt all valued the Stinging Nettle for various uses.

Stinging Nettle is still used today for many of the same purposes as it was in the past. While the plant overall is used to help a variety of conditions, the root in particular is considered to provide support to the male urinary system and prostate.

Active Ingredients:

Nettle Root is abundant with nutrients and vitamins, but its primary active compounds consist of different flavanoids, lignans, fatty acids, and sterols and their glucosides.

How to take it?

• Place the drops directly under the tongue and chase with a small glass of water, juice, or any other fluid that may taste more pleasant

• Place the drops directly in an ounce or so of water or other fluid and drink that

• If serving to children under the age of 21, or if you want to avoid the harsh taste of the alcohol, you can either let the tincture sit out or heat it up on very low heat, until the alcohol evaporates (alcohol evaporates faster than water)
