Product Description : 1974 Skoda Company Steam Power Dam HEP Turbines 70th Anniversary Pin Badge

• A golden coloured metal and enamel pin badge made to advertise the 50th anniversary of part of the Skoda company, but I don't know which division.

  The badge face is 1.5cm high and has a long, stick pin fastener.

  Historical Background

  The original Skoda company was founded in 1859. Skoda was, back then, and engineering firm and only started producing cars in 1905 due to the merger of Skoda with Laurent & Klement cars.

  In 1904 Skoda produced its first steam turbine and over the past hundred years have produced turbines for nuclear power stations and hydroelectric dams across the world.

  The company is now known as Skoda power and it still exists to this day
