From Modest Mike's Mods

Modified Boss CE-5 guitar effects pedal (you get the modified pedal).

Check out the reviews at sites like The Gear Page, Harmony Central, Telecaster Guitar Forum, Strat-Talk, Pedal-of-the-day, The Amp Garage, Noisy Music, Ultimate Guitar, TalkBass, and GBase. Quality workmanship, great customer service, low prices, and the sound! Nobody beats Modest Mike's Mods!

We took Boss's crowning achievement in chorus sound and made it better! This one has our regular mods for improved sound, but we didn't stop there. Check out the two added toggle switches:

One switch works like a phat switch for the Effects Level control. This is especially designed for folks who notice a drop in volume when switching from the clean sound to the effects sound. When switched to the right, the E. Level knob receives a little boost. It becomes more sensitive, and can be used like a volume knob to set the effects volume as loud or as soft as you like it.

The other switch is for an effect called the simple vibrato effect. When this switch is flipped on, the dry sound is taken out of the mix leaving the effects sound only. This gives you a more exaggerated vibrato sound that is fun to play with. There are videos on youtube that demonstrate the simple vibrato effect.

These mods with the switches are not permanent. Just switch to the right to use them, or when you switch back the pedal is automatically returned to factory settings.

We also did a "flashing rate mod." The LED flashes in time with whatever rate you set for the pedal. When you turn up the rate, the LED flashes faster. When you turn the rate down, the LED flashes slower. This is a neat mod, but not just because it looks cool (it does look cool). This mod allows you to "see" the rate as well as hear it. When you have a gig you can set the rate without playing a sound.

And of course we replaced the LED with a nice water/clear blue LED. The lens is clear when the effect is off, and it is a very noticeable blue when the effect is switched on.
