DESCRIPTION
This is a gorgeous vintage peignoir robe and nightgown set from the 1960s that was made by Tell a Tale. The material is 100% cotton, and it has a floral design done in shades of blue, gree, and white. The robe has short cap sleeves with elastic and little ruffles at the ends of the sleeve. The robe has a small peter pan collar that is trimmed in white lace. The robe closes with two buttons near the neckline, and there is also a set of blue satin ribbon ties at the throat. The robe also has a single front pocket.
The nightgown is made out of the same material as the robe. It is sleeveless, and it has a ruffle of embroidered chiffon accenting the neckline. There is also lace accenting the hem and neckline. The nightgown does not have any closures.
SIZING
The tag labels this set a size 14, but vintage sizes tend to run smaller than modern sizes. I believe this set would be better suited to a modern size Medium. The actual measurements are as follows:
Robe
Bust: 21 inches across, underarm to underarm (42 inches around)
Shoulders: 14 inches across, seam to seam
Length: 39 inches from the shoulder to the hem
Nightgown
Bust: 19 inches across, underarm to underarm (38 inches around)
Waist/Hips: Full and roomy
Length: 38.5 inches from the shoulder to the hem
Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.
CONDITION
This set is in excellent vintage condition.

Shipping:
I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday. I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day). If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible!
PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!

Clothing Condition:
The large majority of the items in my store are vintage and/or pre-owned. I will list any major flaws in the item description. However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear. Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged. By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect.
