This is the information that you need to straighten the frame and align the front suspension of your vehicle back to the NOS specifications that it had when it was new. This information is not specific to the make of car in the auction title, I list it under different years and makes to maximize the auction's exposure, this information applies to any vehicle with a conventional frame.  This information comes from a textbook that was used by a frame straightening equipment manufacturer to educate customers in how to use their equipment. The information on diagnosing frame damage and repairs is presented using their state of the art equipment (circa 1966) but can be applied to any frame repair equipment from that era.

This information will train you in how to diagnose the damages to the vehicle's frame,  checking for sidesway, sag, mashed, diamond and twisted conditions.  There is information on how to properly appraise the damage to the frame, how to support the vehicle to facilitate the straightening procedures and how to make the proper hook-ups to the straightening equipment. This packet of information is 51 double side printed pages of information that includes many diagrams showing the different types of damage that a body repairman would encounter along with the steps necessary to repair the damage. There is also information on how to use controlled heat to assist in the frame repairs along with a section on the proper method of replacing damaged cross members.  The differences in truck frames and the repairs to them are detailed along with the way to repair the new unitized body/frames that were being used in the 1960’s like the Corvair cars. The use of tram gauges and how to check measurements from datum lines is also covered.

No instruction manual on frame repair would be complete without a section on front wheel alignment. Again this information was given using the manufacturer’s equipment; however this guide goes far beyond being an owners manual for their equipment. This guide gives universal instructions on how to correct toe-in with a guide on which way to adjust either tie rod in order to correct an off center steering wheel.  You also get a detail description of the theory behind camber, steering axis inclination, caster, turning radius and toe in to help you understand how these five measurements interact with each other and a troubleshooting chart with the seven most common steering issues listed along how each of the five measurements affects them. Also included in a section on wheel balancing and how this affects the way a vehicle handles. There are 24 double sided printed pages in this section that will tell you everything you could possible need to know about front wheel alignment and how it affects your vehicle's handling.

The images shown on this auction have the vital information obscured so that nobody can take it from the auction, the sheets that I send you will not be erased like the examples are. You will receive a total of 75 photo copies double-back printed 8 ½ X 11 pages of information on frame straightening and front wheel alignment. This will be mailed to you via 1st Class mail  in a 9 X 12 envelope.
