The new Sparta Cockspur handles offer an attractive looking product designed with soft grip insert to give an improved comfort and feel during use. The design allows improved hand clearance and these window handles have been manufactured to an extremely high standard with outstanding product performance.

The push button enhances the security of your window by keeping the handle in a hold position even without the key. This feature will avoid the handle being flicked open from the outside even when unlocked by the key via a long thin screw driver between the frames - a common security problem! Suitable for uPVC and aluminium windows without perimeter locking mechanisms (no spindle protruding from back of handle). Operation of the handle is achieved by simply pushing the button and opening to a holding position. The handle will automatically re-locate to a non-overide locked position upon closure. The key supplied will provide a deadlock to the cylinder.

Measuring your backset

These cockspur window handles can be fitted to uPVC windows and aluminium windows.  

They are available in 3 sizes:

  • 9mm (White only)
  • 15.5mm (White only)
  • 21mm 

To measure the size of the cockspur handle you require you simply measure from the back of the handle to the spur. Please see images to help illustrate how these handles are measure. Please see our cockspur striker plate wedges, that you may need when not knowing the profile of the window you are attaching the handles to.
