This 1999 edition of the Anheuser-Busch Heritage Series honors the famous Bauernhof at Grant’s Farm, the historic Busch family home in St. Louis, Missouri. The bauernhof – a unique and lavish “U-shaped” structure with an enclosed central court – is considered “the heart” of Grant’s Farm.

An archival illustration of the Bauernhof, by Oscar E. Berninghaus, is reproduced in authentic detail on the front of this remarkable 10 ½ inch tall masterpiece. The artwork, with a traditional stork flying overhead, is flanked by two A & Eagle logos and surrounded by a detailed hop and barley motif. The pewter lid is topped with a trio of nesting storks – representing the actual stork nest which sits above the entrance of the Bauernhof.
