I am listing a 1909S VDB Lincoln Cent. As you know, this is the KEY of all keys to the Lincoln cent set.

ICG (for those who don't know) is one of the top 4 companies that certifies coins. By slabbing a coin, they are guaranteeing that the coin is genuine. They also grade the coin. All of the 4 top certification companies grade very conservatively. If they grade a coin Fine 12, you can just about bet the coin is at least that good and probably better.

I bought this cent in a near complete set of cents. The coin is very natural colored. You can see that ICG labeled this coin as being cleaned which is a surprise to me. I cannot see the slightest evidence of cleaning. You can see from the photo that it has a very good color.

I sent the coin to be slabbed myself. It is graded F12. 90% of wheat lines show on reverse. "S" mintmark and date are very strong and clear. VDB is very strong and clear. The proper diagnostics are easily seen.

Greysheet Bid (wholesale) at Fine is $1050.00. Retail price guides give values for this date and grade at around $1300.00.

I will open the auction at $899.99, (with FREE shipping). Or you can Buy It Now for only $999.99 (with FREE shipping) and avoid the auction process. In the event that this item does not sell at auction, it will roll over into our ebay store at the Buy It Now price. If you see this item in our store and would rather take your chances in an auction, just email me and I'll move it to an auction IF YOU WILL AGREE TO PROMPTLY BID ON IT AT THE ABOVE OPENING PRICE.

Postage on this particular item is FREE. Our normal shipping info is below.

Postage on this item is $9.00 to anywhere in the US. Our minimum shipping fee is $3.00. This barely covers our minimum costs of postage, handling, and insurance. We ship everything insured. On most items under about $30.00, we use an insurer from the private sector rather than the USPS.

I offer a 7 day return of all items if they are not as described and in their original holder. There is no refund for buyer's remorse or of postage and insurance fees.

Please check out our growing inventory  of coins, glassware, and other vintage collecibles.

Thanks............ John
