PS: The book is really old, which printed 122 years ago, but not modern reprint.
NB! It is really SELDOM SEEN and RARE local edition of verses of the Grand Duke.

   The book includes short critic-biographical etude on 12 pages and verses of the duke written in period from 1879 to 1899.
The book has not any illustrations (only portrait of the duke). 

   Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, poetic pseudonym K.R. (1858 - 1915) - member of the Russian Imperial
House, adjutant general (1901), general of the infantry (1907), inspector general of military educational institutions,
president of the Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1889), poet, translator and playwright. 
   Second son of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich and Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna, grandson of Nicholas I. 
   He was a famous Russian poet, author of several collections. Konstantin Romanov began writing his own poems 
as a teenager. During a trip to Crimea in May 1879, he composed the “first successful” poem in Oreanda - 
“The waves fell asleep...”, which was published in the August 1882 issue of the journal “Bulletin of Europe”. 
The poem was signed with the cryptonym K.R. (Konstantin Romanov). Subsequently, it would be set to music 
by Ts. A. Cui and S. V. Rachmaninov. The following five poems were published in the journal “Bulletin of Europe” 
in 1882 under the general title “In Venice” (“Bridge of Sighs”, “Remember, sometimes at night”, “Barcarolle”, “Inscription
 for the picture”, “My gondola glided over the wave”). The first collection, which included poems from 1879 to 1885, 
was published in 1886. In 1888 he published the first poem “Sebastian the Martyr”, then the collections: 
“New Poems by K.R.”, “Third Collection of Poems by K.R.” (1900), “Poems by K. R.” (1901).
