An interesting fossiliferous limestone specimen containing numerous small fossil shell and gastropod remains visible throughout the matrix.

Personally found on Thorness Bay Beach, Isle of Wight, from the area's fossil-rich Palaeogene deposits.

Gastropods recorded from the Thorness/Gurnard succession include Viviparus lentus, Viviparus angulosus, Lymnaea longiscata and Planorbarius discus. These are possible representatives within the specimen, although individual fossils have not been identified to species.

A genuine personally collected Isle of Wight fossil assemblage.
