Lot of two vintage mid-century gold-tone metal ladies’ powder compacts / vanity cases, including one Britemode compact with its original branded powder puff.
The square Britemode compact features an etched geometric design on the exterior and retains the original Britemode powder puff and mesh/sifter insert. Similar Britemode metal powder compacts are generally dated to the 1950s.
The larger rectangular compact has a simple gold-tone exterior with a distinctive ribbed sliding/latching mechanism and a removable small square lipstick compartment, likely intended for an additional cosmetic item. It also retains a vintage powder puff.
Both pieces are unrestored estate finds and show considerable age-related wear including scratches, tarnish, discoloration, residue and deterioration/soiling to the interior cosmetic areas and puffs. They have not been cleaned or polished. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and completeness.
