A set of antique Qing dynasty style Chinese blue and white porcelain tea pot and tea bowl, featuring cloud and dragon motifs
#(SP002_1369)
Tea cup (Diameter: 11cm) and teapot (14.5cm x 10cm),
Markings on the bottom of the bowl read that it maybe related to Qing dynasty era: 壽 (Shòu) means “longevity” or “long life” in Chinese.
•This mark is often seen on decorative wares rather than imperial porcelain. It’s commonly associated with gifts or symbolic pieces, especially for birthdays or elder celebrations, due to its auspicious meaning. It is quite common on later Qing pieces or Republic period (1912-1949) porcelain. The glaze, firing imperfections and style also point to it being a later reproduction.
The tea pot and tea bowl is in a good condition given their age and wear. Imperfections are typical for their age. Also there is a chipped edge of the tea pot and a repaired crack on the edge of a tea bowl (see photos).
