DESCRIPTION
An antique or vintage Finnish 'Kemi' pattern (model no. 12) forged steel axehead, manufactured probably by Billnäs Bruk in the early 20th century Finland. However, due to the condition of the axe blade, the exact manufacturer remains unclear, and it is even possible that the blade was made by a private village blacksmith. A page of the Billnäs catalogue 1928 is attached for a reference.

CONDITION
The axehead is in solid, excavated condition showing heavy signs of pitting. The poll is slightly hammered. No visible chips or cracks. The blade is still remaining a good amount of length. The possible manufacturer stamps are not readable.
