Gepanzerte Glasfaser-Patchkabel verfügen über ein spiralförmiges Edelstahlband über einer gepufferten Faser, umgeben von einer Schicht aus Aramid- und Edelstahlgeflecht mit einem Außenmantel. Sein robustes Gehäuse aus Stahl und kevlar ist stärker als herkömmliche Glasfaserkabel und hat einen höheren Nennbetriebstemperaturbereich. Obwohl dieses Kabel Metall enthält, ist es dennoch leicht und flexibel mit einem Biegeradius von etwa 8 Zoll. Das gepanzerte Glasfaser-Patchkabel wurde speziell für Kundenstandorte, Zentralbüros und Innenräume mit rauen Umgebungsbedingungen oder stark frequentierten Bereichen entwickelt, die zusätzlichen Schutz erfordern.
