A rare antique Swiss dual-time pocket watch by Perrenoud Contesse & Cie, Le Locle, Switzerland.

This unusual pocket watch features two separate time displays, a large central seconds hand, and a subsidiary seconds dial.

The watch is currently running.

According to information provided by the previous owner, the watch was overhauled approximately eight years ago and has not been used since the service.

Please note that no recent professional timing or accuracy test has been performed. Therefore, long-term accuracy and power reserve are not guaranteed.

There is an important condition issue: the longer hand on the left-side subsidiary time dial is missing/broken.

The case shows age-related wear, tarnishing, scratches and discoloration consistent with an antique timepiece.

Historical Note

The unusual dual-time configuration would have allowed two different times to be displayed simultaneously. It may have been useful for travel or other situations requiring reference to two locations; however, its original specific use cannot be independently confirmed.
