Striking unsigned studio pottery vessel featuring a dramatic volcanic/lava-style textured glaze in charcoal gray, black, rust red, and earthy mineral tones.

The heavily cratered exterior contrasts beautifully with the smooth matte charcoal-gray opening and gives the piece a sculptural, modernist appearance. The underside shows concentric wheel/trim marks consistent with handmade studio pottery.

Approximately 6 3/4" across and 3" high. Small low-profile form, ideal as a sculptural vase, ikebana-style vessel, or decorative studio ceramic.

Unsigned. Maker and exact age unknown.

Very good vintage condition overall. The rugged, pitted and irregular surface is part of the original glaze treatment and design. Please review photos closely for condition and details.
